Vampires and fangs and blood, oh my!

**Not as detailed as the morning after, but here's the bits I remember. Two people I know (Logan and Brandon) were there as Logan's s.o. Daley who I have never met**

Night of 10/23:

The dream started off it what to be an abandoned city. It had kind of that green haze to the sky; very post-apocalyptic look. It would have been a downtown type area; lots of skyscrapers. Or what was left of them at least. Place was silent. I felt drawn to a certain building, though, and went inside. It looked to have previously been for loft apartments, but everything was ruined and falling apart. I remember walking up the stairs, careful when I stepped as they were not entirely stable. Still no sounds aside from the ones I made on each step. I felt like I walked quite some time; not sure how many stories I made it up to. I came to a door; same as the other floors. Green peeling paint, rotting wood. Mold on the walls. Nothing to set it apart from any floor. But I knew this is where I was supposed to be.

I took a step forward intending to knock, but the door opened on its own. I walked in and seeing no one, closed the door behind me. The loft was filled with all manners of furniture; sadly in various states of ruin. Cobwebs and mold were eating up the place. I went room to room until I found the bedroom where two people were standing. Daley gave me a small smile and Logan came forward, giving me a long hug. He said nothing. After awhile he pulled back and looked into my eyes and smiled, his fangs showing. Taking me by the hand, he lead me out of the room into what once was a living area.

He let go my hand when we were about 10 steps from an old rotting couch; Brandon were standing in a corner of the room just... watching. Going through a door next to it, Logan returned with what almost looked like a scepter. A very macabre scepter. The base was gold. Shiny, though a few places were marred with black where the gold over time appeared to have rubbed or peeled off. At the top of the scepter, though, was a skull. It had grey leathery skin, features that were sharp due to its age without life. He handed me the scepter and gestured for me to sit on the couch. Smiling, he turned and left me there.

I looked down at this scepter, feeling its weight and looked at its detail; there were even a few pretty jewels left and engravings of marks I did not recognize. What got my attention was when the skulls eyes opened and looked at me. To my credit, I didn't drop the thing. I was more fascinated than afraid. I didn't feel any evil from the object, though it definitely had a "Tales from the Crypt" look to it. Green eyes. It smiled and then began to speak to me. I'm afraid a lot of the details of what it said are lost when I remembered them perfectly before. I know it greeted me by name. Asked if I knew why I was there. I remember telling it "not exactly, but I know this is where I belong." Its smile broadened, showing more than a few fangs. It then told me to come to it. Ever closer. Then it started speaking in a language I did not recognize. I remember feeling... drawn to it. Compelled almost. And oddly completely not disgusted when I closed my eyes and kissed the thing.

I remember blood from it pouring into my mouth and I drank and kissed, then feeling it bite into my lip and tongue as this continued for... I can' say how long. In that instant I could feel my world had changed. When I finally pulled back, my heart was racing, my skin was burning, and I felt more... alive than I ever had before. I sat the scepter down on the couch and licking my lips, I could tell from them down I was covered in immense amounts of blood. I stood up and turned towards the room. Brandon, Logan and Daley had come in at some point while I was.. preoccupied and I guess were watching. They all smiled at me. I could see their fangs and smiling back, I could feel my new ones as well. For the first time Logan spoke and said "Welcome home" and reached out for me.

  That's when I woke up.
